Proceed on an approximately 4-hour journey to Parapat Lake Toba via Pematang Siantar Town—the 2nd largest city in North Sumatra—and pass through many rubber and palm oil plantations.
09.00 am: En route
Stop at the Patent Shop to buy local food products such as Teng Teng or Ting Ting.
10.00 am: Stop—Visit
Visit Kwan Im Temple at Siantar
12.00 am: Arrive at Parapat
A town on the shore of serene Lake Toba. Transfer to a local restaurant for lunch.
01.00 pm: After lunch
We will take a ferry trip across the crystal clear waters of Lake Toba to Samosir Island—a large volcanic island that is located in the middle of Lake Toba and is claimed to be the fifth largest lake island in the world. The island is the center of the Batak Toba culture, and many of these people’s artifacts remain on the island. Visit Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar. (The groups with a minimum of 14 persons, will be added to visit Ambarita village.)
04.00 pm: Transfer
Back to Parapat.
05.00 pm: Return
Back to Medan.
09.00 pm: Arrive at Medan

How to Get to Lake Toba

Medan Lake Toba Itinerary Day Tour

07:00 AM

Pick up from your hotel and be greeted by your driver/tour guide. Proceed on an approximately 4-hour journey to Parapat Lake Toba via Pematang Siantar Town—the 2nd largest city in North Sumatra—and pass through many rubber and palm oil plantations.
